Default N/A setup questions.....?

in running a N/A setup with the KX motor would it be a cheap power adder to use a cam and intake from a turbo motor? I know (thanks to HUW) that a turbo cam is a good poor mans power adder, but I saw that the throttle-body on the turbo intakes is one big butterfly as opposed to the two smaller ones on the non turbo stuff...so basically what I'm asking is, does anyone know if the addition of these would make a difference? any input would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

Default Reportedly good for 5hp on a dyno. Javad tested (034 Motorsport)

But, if you're there anyways.......

Default Throttle body wont work

Shape/mounting is totally different.

A cam would and does give a slight increase, though, as Carter stated.

Default Get a 4000q downpipe and manifold 5hp from the factory guaranteed!!

5 into 3 into 1 cool setup, freeer flowing than yer 5-2-1!
Also, turbo cam, adj. cam sproket, and mill the head down to the minimum, it'll raise yer crappy 8.3:1 up into the 9:1 range...

see I had a 5-3-1 but it was cracked pretty bad, the guy who sold it to me sent me a 5-2-1 as a replacement, is it not as good? I was told both are about the same (waaayyy better than the stock one.)as far as the head, I was planning on milling, valve job, etc. anyways and I am really considering the turbo swap but not to sure yet. I'm still a lil hellbent on the carb conversion though! for some reason I think it would look and sound really cool to bore it put bigger pistons, valves, head job, better cam, exhaust, etc with a 4 barrel sitting up top. but I'm still not completely sure how to approach it or if it would be worth it.but it is appealing!

Default i wouldn't, it will upset the CGT..

the beauty of the car is its handling, with too much power and weight up front, it will understeer and spin the tires an go nowhere fast.. FWD cant handle too much torque, throw a 20vt in a 4kq.. and i believe if you want a 20vt, its easier and cheaper to use a 3b from a 200

Default Re: i wouldn't, it will upset the CGT..

well, its not ridiculous HP per se, and as for it being too much for FWD I think thats just a ridiculous statement, I mean there are FWD cars that have a s#!t load more HP than a stock AAN or even RS engines. these cars are known for being heavy bastards up front anyway so the few more pounds up front I don't think would be too bad with the addition of some stiffer springs a 4000Q swaybar and nice shocks. the mounts are the same from the CGT on the AAN.and I have a guy whos going to be giving me lots of technical info and help pertaining to the swap. I had actually thought of the 7A swap but the turbo and tuneability options of the AAN are very appealing (even though I love N/A) its still not a definite but the AAN is looking more and more likely/appealing. we'll see I guess.......
