Hi I;m a newbie to audi, but I'm a longtime aircooled VW ad all 356, 914, 911,996/997 Porsche engine rebuilder in Canada.
My son just picked up a good condition 1982 Coupe 5 cylinder. says 201,000 KM but the odometer is not working.
He planned to drive it as a DD, but has decided it's too nice for winters, so it will be his summer DD.

Good, very solid, drives perfect, 90's very high end stereo, sport muffler,
Bad, smokes a bit under heavy deceleration, some small plastic interior bits have disintegrated, paper shrouding for rad has seen better days, shifter bushings shot, I think it needs new motor mounts, dash squeaks, Odometer not working.

First question is how to lower it? The back isn't too bad, but the front sits a bit high.

Who's good for parts?
Can anyone suggest a check list for sorting it out?

needs a new muffler, maybe a new exhaust system. and needs some front end suspension work. otherwise, it's a great car!

IF you or you son are on Facebook, you should sign up for the 'Toronto Audi Quattro Club' group. . Many in that group are familiar with the Coupe and 4000 Quattro models, and are a good resource..
