Default ABS problem in 1990 100Q

I posted before about this, cleaned ring gears, have tested speed sensors & found 1 out of spec, replaced with 1 from parts car that test OK but ABS off light still comes on, in the process of testing wiring. I suspect ABS controller is bad, parts car is non Quattro & controller from that is different, looking in Bentley for info on how to test, any suggestions appreciated

Check fuse in ABS relay and also the relay itself.

Default checked fuse, tried spare relay, no change

ABS off light comes on only after driving, not on startup, when I replaced LF WS sensor, which tested out of spec, the plug receptacle fell apart, this is the one near the expansion tank, I spliced in plug from parts car but wires are not color coded, yet plug has alignment pin so it only goes on 1 way, I tried to make sure splice was done to correct wires, I have a rechecked all WS sensors & all test within spec, when I cleaned ring gear they all looked OK, no crud between teeth, tried to test wiring at ABS controller as Russ suggested but have not been able to figure that out, considering bringing to repair shop but don't have money for that,

I'm not sure on a 100, but on a 5KCSTQ you have to replace the ablative plastic caps on the abs sensors to ensure they are seated the proper distance. It's my understanding that if you try to reuse the existing ones you will continue to have abs problems. Just a thought.
