battery drain
after i turn off the car and open the door(s) shouldn't the sunroof stop working. I shut off my car then 2 hours later realized that I left the sunroof open. Went out to close it and it shut without the key. is this normal?

Sunroof switch gets power from ...
... the same place the windows do: "Power Window / Sunroof Control Unit"
If the switch is still active, investigate if the window switches are still active.
But I'm guessing that your window switches stop working when you open the door (and close and lock the car), right? The little lights in them go out and they no makey window go uppydowny?
If so, investigate the sunroof switch (pretty easy to get to, remove center light with easy screwdriver prying, remove one screw, screw will either fall into your eyeball or down into the seatcrack, never to be seen again).

Er, the "power control module" is probably just a relay...
...but I'm not sure of it's location. If it's just a big relay, it may just be sticking open.
But yep, this would be a battery drain.
You might consider pulling the fuse for the power windows/sunroof until you can locate the problem.
