Default Climate Control Poll

This question is for the 80% of us who've had climate control problems.
What was the fix?
A) New (junkyard) controller
B) Found a vacuum leak in the CC system
C) I like defrost mode. I'm not gona fix it.
There are no other options. If you don't fit into one of the 3 categories be quiet - don't mess up the poll :-)

Default hrm. vacuum relays

Does anyone know which vacuum relay does what? (In the box below the glove compartment)

I dont particularily like the automatic climate control, i'd prefer to be able to adjust fanspeed and such.

I guess ill pull some junk out of the garage and take a look, try and rig something up.

Oh - almost forgot - i messed around with the box and the display in the dash, and eventually it started working. I think i replaced both with 'new' (er new to me) parts

well kind of c , during the winter I ran into the defrost only thing .... so ... I did a quick fix work around for the winter. If you take the glove box off and look up to the Left side you will see the main air box ... on that air box is a vacuum set up with a lever.
I connected a pull wire to this lever./ when you put the wire it opens the air control to front vents in the dash ... I know it isn't pretty, but it was only a work around for the winter .... too busy at that time of years to do it right ...my 2 cents ( CDN )

Default Re: "C" I suppose

What I do is keep a nice long screwdriver in the glovebox. Whenever I want AC out the front vents, I open the glovebox, grab that screwdriver, and start jabbing and hammering on the black box to the right in the far back. Works every time for me so far. (Though I will say that lately I have been having to hit the thing a lot harder).
