Cooling fan constantly running
87 5000 Quattro. Hello so the other day my cooling fan started to stay on and not turn off. It’s not the relay because I switched the all from my other 5000. I think it’s the thermo switch but I don’t really know where that is. There is a sensor below the radiator and two up higher. Which one should I change? Any help with be awesome. Thanks
Which one or the one by the radiator?

Could be several things, so testing first is always best. If you are in replacement mode, start with the sensor next to the spark plug. There's also the sensor attached to the radiator, and the resistor pack in front of the condenser that may be problematic. If the fan is on at jet engine speed, then that is another issue/fuse related. The lower sensor with the partially removed boot is your multi-function sensor, which controls the coolant gauge on the dash, among other things.
