Default I have very little autobody experience... on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard would it be...

for me to replace the passenger front 1/4 panel/fender and hood on my 1985 Audi 5000?

I bought the $300 car for a junky daily driver a year ago only to discover that it only has about 80k on it, and is mechanically in great shape. The car has been running beautifully all year, and the interior is almost mint. The paint is bad but the body isn't in bad shape, zero rust. However it was lightly bumped in the front right, the hood is a little bend up and the 1/4 panel is a tad bent. I can get these parts for $80 so if it's not too bad to put on I'd love to get the car back to 100% and then get it repainted someday.

Thanks, Evan

Hood and front fenders are bolted on. You can do it.

The hood takes about 20 minutes to swapout. Get a friend to help.

It's just four bolts. You'll have to resplice in the hood light electrical wire and reattach the winshield fluid lines. Easy...

The fender is a bit more work but not too bad. You'll have to undo all the mounting bolts under the hood at the top of the fender and remove the front end. There are also a couple of bolts to get at in the fender/door frame area. It's a basic unbolt and bolt up job. Time consuming but easy.

Default You will also need to pull the front bumper

to make the change but that is very simple too.

Two allen bolts from the bottom and it slides forward and out.

You need to remove a couple of screws under the rediator, turn signal wires and oil cooler duct but these are very easy.

It helps to have a friend to align things in and out.

Don't be worried abut any of this. Very easy.
