Default I'm really getting annoyed by this (long)

I posted something on this a while back but didn't get many if any responses. Most likely cause no one else has encountered such an odd problem. Here we go......When I'm driving the 5K with the parking lights or headlights off the digital for my climate, clock, and trip computer flicker. They don't completely flicker on and off but instead they get slightly lighter and then darker. If I turn on my parking lights or headlights (which also illuminates the dash lighting) the problem is not there at all and climate, clock, and trip light as they are supposed to according to how I have the dimmer set. The dimmer switch works fine also. This flickering can not be very good for my digital readouts and I'm afraid it's going to cause damage and I don't want to drive with my parks on all the time. Any advice would be great. I sure hope this is not going to turn into one of those horrid electrical problems that I've read about on here. This has been a really good car and with the exception of this it's perfect. I'd like to keep it that way.

Bad solder on the printed circut board or maybe the bulb monitor unit is funky?

Bulb monitor unit is located above the glove box...

you'll have to take out the instrument cluster to check the circut board...

Default I'm thinking either a flakey power supply lead or trace on the cluster...

Or a bad ground - possibly when the lights are energized the circuit gets a better ground?

Agree you will probably have to pull the inst. cluster to figure it out.

The Bentley electrical volume would be a great help in tracing this down.
