injector cleaning failed.............

I went into work today early so I could do some work on the Audi. I bought a can of 3M injector cleaner and hooked it up to the injector cleaner we have. I followed all the instructions: #1 Fuel pump relay is removed. #2 Main fuel line (from tank) is taken off fuel distributer and replaced with line from the cleaner tool.#3 Return line is taken off fuel distributer and replaced with 12mm plug bolt. #4 pressure is set at 50psi, run car at idle until it stalls. Well for some reason, I couldnt get the damn car to start. after troubleshooting for about an hour I gave up and hooked everything back up like it was. Any ideas guys?

A good long high speed highway drive helps

I use Chevron and add an extra shot of injector cleaner and just go for about half the tank, I top off then drive home. I suppose it helps too if you really have some place to go, instead of using up a tank of gas.

Out of all the injector cleaners I've used, the one that cleaned out my 5kqt was...

...Prolong fuel system treatment. My car sat for a year and a half and that stuff works great! Never ran better. One problem though, I can't find it anywhere by itself. I've only seen it in a three pack with transmission treatment and penetration oil at Wal-Mart.

Seafoam, best stuff there is IMHO. I've heard lots of

mechanics reccommend it and used it lots in boats and motorcycles. Worked very well for me. Haven't had reason to use it in the audi yet.....my audi mechanic said just be sure to put it in with a full tank because it's so strong and the cis system has so many small orings and such.

O2 Sensors?

i heard it was bad for them to use these cleaners, i used FI cleaner when i bought me audi and it runs good but i had to replace the O2 and always thought after hearing it is bad for them that it was the reason i need to.
