My nephue just bought me a new radio for the V8 (93) i havint had a radio that worked for as long as i had the car... well one speeker still worked...that is till i put the new one in now nothing.. ANy one have any ideas?
was planning to just replace the bad speekers with originals. at about 50 each ill have to check and see if 200 will get me for all new.
as for the new head SONY CDX-GT400
nice addition all red readout (lights can be programed for 6 differant colors) so i get to keep the all red dash lights.
As is i have a 1996 A6 wire harness adapter( only one they could find) for the cars harness and wire to wired the radio to the new harness via the wire diagram. I get a faint hiss out of the speekers right now but no music (using a cd) and the hissing is constant level nomater what the volume.
Any suggestions.....my fear is all new speekers are required with all new wiring...

V8 has BOSE deck and speakers, means its not straight plug-n-play and you'll need more work.

More work? as in missing connectors or pulling new wires for new speekers?

As Carter noted..a re-wire is in order with new speakers. Now I hate to turn this into a FS thread but...I've got a complete re-wire system thats just sitting in a box in my parts warehouse..LOL
Shoot me a mail & I can set you up. Infinity Refrence 4" fronts 2-way, Infinity Refrence 6x9's rear 3-way, all speaker wiring, amp wiring, power wiring. All RockFord Fosgate 18AWG Copper wire. The only thing you'll need is an amp & the radio you all ready have.
You obviousley got a sterio harness with the new radio you got & the harness is prolly marked for rear speaker, front speaker, illumination, antenna..bla bla bla. Just need to take the car radio harness & do some snip & connect.
