Recommendations for having CIS fuel distributor rebuilt
Hey guys, just joined the forum.. I have a 1987 5000CS Quattro I inherited from a friend after it wouldn't disengage the clutch. After replacing the clutch, machining the flywheel, changing all the belts and a few sensors, oil and whatnot since it was off the road so long I finally drove it for a few days and then it wouldn't start. I checked over the CIS system and after confirming fuel pressure to the inlet hard line (also replaced fuel pump, relay and filter) I'm getting well over 110 PSI and plenty of flow. I cleaned out and confirmed the warm up regulator is working as it should and finally found there is barely a trickle of fuel on the output of the fuel distributor its self. I have found rebuild kits but I would like to either send this out to get rebuilt or purchase a rebuilt one and use mine as a core. I found one on Autohaus AZ by a company called CIS Flowtech for around $500-600?
Any suggestions from those who are more familiar with good sources to have these rebuilt?
Thanks, Patrick

I would suggest finding a good used one. For instance, here's a guy selling many 5000 parts:
