Default Steering is loose....

Hey everyone. It's the V8's steering...it feels really loose while driving. Sometimes when the brakes are applied, the car shifts violently to the left. Cutting corners isn't as precise as it used to be....if feels as if there's play in the steering at any speed, any condition.

My first thought is control arm bushings...but any other ideas?? Ball joints/control arms themselves??

As for the violent shift....I checked rotors (G60 calipers) but they're ok....machined them with no change as a result.

Thanks!

Not sure if this is your problem, but you could try adjusting the pre-load adjustment on the rack...

Default Hmmm....

The steering is loose intermittently. Sometimes more so than other times. Speed is not really a factor, although car vibrates slightly at speeds >70mph. I'm guessing sway bar bushings are causing it because I recently had an oil leak, in which oil drenched the right side bushing....

Rack was rebuilt a year and a half ago....all adjustments were made then, but i'll check it out anyways.

Thanks! Any other ideas?
