Taillight swap....
Hey guys. I'm doing a taillight (sides, and center) swap.
Any advice on how to R&R the existing stock V8 taillights with a new set?? I just dont wanna break anything if I have to remove the trunk lining, or else its off to the phones giving Chris @ force5 a call.
Thanks!

Re: Taillight swap....
I've had the right-side "black" semi-rigid partially pulled down near tailight with no prob.Just becareful not to 'crease' it...it's slotted at the upper top area so make sure it lines-up when pushing back in.There is a sub-liner (sound dampening?) under it that glued to body.It tears easily.---Ques. for you...how'd you get the extra 25 ponies out of the engine?Bill-('93 V8)

Ok, i'll give the lining a tug tomorrow. What about the center lights?? How do I get those out?
Thanks!
To answer your question: the best way that I know of to get power is:
1) ECU power chip
2) Exhaust modification -- all I did was dump the rear muffler and replace it with straight oversized pipes. Nice power gain, and sound.
3) K&N air filter --doesn't do too much, but noticeable gain
4) If you're in an area where smog testing isn't a big deal, dump your cat. converters. It's louder, but if you can sacrifice the quietness for more power, it does have a fairly decent power gain.
Thanks!

Re: Taillight swap....
The center section had a few fasteners on it, as well as the outer bits (like 2 each or something like that) on the older type44 cars...Undo those, and gently pull/push them off the car. You'll want new sealant/adhesive. Get the "rope" not the liquid. BTDT.
