Default Trip this weekend: Calgary>Salt Lake City>Las Vegas>Palm Springs

Hey guys,

I am planning a trip from Calgary AB, down to So. California this coming weekend.

I am considering making only 2 stops (weather allowing) as per the subject line. I was hoping I could get some advice regarding where to stay, road conditions, weather, where to stay, what to avoid and what to watch out for etc.

Also, if there is anyone who would want to meet for a coffee/beer depending on the time and place I would love to hear from you.

Thanks in advance,
Zsolt

Default If your in vegas for long, i could meet up with ya at the raceway which is just off the freeway.....

Hey whats up buddy. I am in Las Vegas pretty close to the speedway, and i am just getting to testing my new setup with the big turbo and efi...... I'd be intersted in hookin up with ya if youre interested. What day do you plan on gettin into vegas? Raceway has a killer chicken ranch sandwich that is awsome. Let me know

Default I will keep you posted. ...

I am tentatively leaving home on Sunday first thing in the AM. I should be able to get to L.V. by Monday or Tuesday evening, depending on the road in Montana.

What is your email? I will drop you a line, and I will also let you know my phone # etc.

Thanks,
Zsolt

Default What part of Calgary do you live in?

I lived in the NW (Hawkwood) for 5 years. Loved it out there. You may have seen me tear about in my tangerine dream... the 67 911S... so orange it made your eyes hurt.

Looks like some of those pics were in Bowness, yes?

Default SW by Signal Hill

I may have seen an orange 911S. I know there is a blue one just east of the COOP store somewhere. I also own an 85 Carrera, so I do make not of all 911 I see driving around.

I was actually going to take the Porsche, but considering the rain and snow that we got recently I think it's safer to have the quattro.

I am also itching to take it for a longer trip. I haven't been on one for a couple of years now, and since then I have my suspension setup changed to H&R and Koni-sport combo and I have the S4 wheels.

Cheers
Zsolt

Default Thanks, it's still work in progress...

But I already have so much into this car, that I can never sell it in my life. I am sure I'm not the only one.
