V8 questions...
Hey guys. Does anybody have any advice on removing the headlight assembly from the V8??
I dont need to do anything to the wiring, but what I need to do is just replace the whole headlight assembly for both sides.
Also, does anybody know what the ZF transmission w/120K miles on the V8 runs for on the market?? Just general value.
Thanks!

Re: V8 questions...
It just so happens that Matt and I replaced my drivers side glass on my V8 headlight.
We took the bumper off - removed the headlamp washers and squirters, then 2 or 3 nuts (13mm nuts) each side, where the chassis members are), 2 screws inside the front wing, and then you can slide the bumper off. Undo the wiring (2 harnesses) and put the bumper to one side.
Then, undo the 8mm nuts under the headlamp trim, remove that, and also the chrome strip.
Undo the top 2 screws for the headlamp, and three (10 mm and 13 mm) nuts for the lower bit. As you pull the headlamp out, undo the vacuum for the headlamp (red pipe) and it is done!
This, removal of broken glass, polishing of the inerds, and replacement of glass and then trim and bumper took us 2 about 2 hours.
The hardest bit is getting to undo the 13 mm bumper nuts!
I know have a shiney headlamp!
Hope this helps.
Regards

See picture above. Remove the bumper and pull it forward, but be careful to not pull it off completely until you have undo the clip for the light harness.
