Wheel offset 101
Can anyone explain the various wheel offsets for Audi wheels? I've seen various 35, 45, 55 millimeter offsets, but the larger number always seems to move the wheel center INBOARD. Help anyone??

Offset is the measurement between the wheel mounting surface and the center plane of the wheel that
is parallel to the mounting surface.
Therefore, the larger the offset (or ET), the larger the distance between the central plane and mounting surface, which results in the wheel being located further inboard on the car.
