Default As 180,000 miles will arrive by early next year on the '93 90S V6--

my old farmer habits of winter tractor preventive maintenance urge me to post this question: when I do the necessary timing belt work at that time, I will be tempted to think about swapping in a new set of rings and bearings (it does use a little oil, but only about a quart every 1200 miles) while I'm at it. Can the pan be pulled with the engine in place in the chassis, or must it be removed. Don't worry, I know all about the difficulties of keeping things clean enough under those circumstances (try it when it's below zero in the machine shed in Minnesota some time) and I would be prepared to pull the motor anyway if first examination showed scoring of the crank or my micrometer and other checking came up with bad wear numbers on the crank.
