Folks,
Thinking, "hey this is a 10 minute job," I went to install a new power antenna last night only to discover that the antenna wire on the new one is long enough to go all the way up front to the radio.
Question is, is it possible "maybe" to tape the new wire to the old and conceivably pull it all the way to the front? Prolly not right.
Could the two cables be coupled together or would the signal get lost with so much wire.
Or, any thoughts and hints would be appreciated.

When you remove the old antenna, tie a long string to the radio end of it. Then pull out the old one completely. This should leave the string in the place of the old antenna wire. Untie the string from the old antenna and attach it to the radio end of the new antenna's wire. Then just begin to pull it through. I'm not entirely sure what lies in the way of the antenna's cable but the string probably wont get it all the way up to the front, you still going to have to coerce it by hand in a few places. Hope this helps.
