Default In short: Uh, no....They weigh practically the same w/out manifolds.

AW, once again, is wrong. Just pay attention to what the tech literature says, and what comes in off the boat. I still remember looking at the very first V8 my dad got in at the dealership, it was pearl, sounded awesome, built in Motorola cell phone, Bose stereo, sport seats, etc. That engine, and ALL the other passenger car V8's, were/are aluminum. Audi's been playing with alu blocks since the early 80's in rally cars and street cars.
