coil 'clong' noise

coil 'clong' noise
Since i changed the front shocks of my type 1989' 89 90Q, i hear a 'clong' noise of the front left coil. This happens:
- when parking and turning hard
- when accelerating or braking hard
- when riding over big holes
there seems to be a '2 position' moving thing ('clong' when acclerating hard and 'clong' when braking hard the 1st time then next 'clong' will be on accelerating..and so on)
i'm quite sure that the noise is coming from the coil but this coil doesn't seems to move ! (i watched when parking). It just seems as the coil were producing noise under torsion...
is it possible to rotate the coil ? is it possible that the coil is in a sort of vertical torsion position due to a bad shock change ?
thanks for your help this noise makes me really nervous since 16 months !!!!

I don't know if this will help, but something similar happened to me . . .
when I took my old subaru in to get new CV joints in the front. A hard reverberating clank when I turned the wheel too far . . . I thought they'd really screwed something up. I took the wheel off to check for loose stuff, nothing. Finally, a week later, I took the wheel off again and it turned out that a piece of sheet metal from under the body had been bent in on accident, and was getting caught on the inner shield of the brake rotor (making one noise), then when it got uncaught, it would snap back to its original place (and thus the other clanking noise). Anyway, no idea if this helps you out at all, but just thought I'd mention it . . . it isn't something you'd think of right away!
