Drove my '90 CQ on a 4.5 hour round trip today.......& I gotta say:
1 - I don't think my wife had too much faith in the CQ making the whole trip. HA!
2 - A/C worked great, used it about 80% of the time.
3 - 034 EFI bosch injectors have definitely improved fuel economy, as I'm getting about 31-32 mpg on the hwy.
4 - I love cruise control, mine is still working fine.
5 - I was let down by the PA breweries we went to. Troeg's and Appalachian brewing company. Maybe if I could've stayed longer & drank more...
6 - Gotta fix radio reception problem, or get new CD changer.
7 - Ricers are everywhere. Like cockroaches & (slow) toyotas.
Have a great weekend!

Agreed...MP3 is the only way to go...
..but screw ipod...go archos! Way better, bigger screen..records TV and DVD's, flash card for dig. pictures, easier compatibility w/ anything, no synch probs, less trendy..etc....

I have a 40gb creative MP3 player, but the head unit is a basic CD head alpine.....
I'd need an FM adapter, and IMO they suck. The stereo's run entirely on external amps though, is there something I could get to just plug the MP3 player into those? Jack right into the RCA cables at the back of the head unit?

I have something like this...
I couldn't find the exact one, but it is basically the same. FM modulator, but it plugs into your antenna, so there is no broadcasting, then a simple miniplug out of the dash, and voila, good music (depending on what's on your Ipod)
Looks something like this:

Depends on the unit, but with this Alpine head unit.....
you can get an adapter that plugs in the back that has 1/4" headphone jack/2 RCA inputs/ and an ipod input. There's tons of options available now like that. WAY better way to go than the FM mods...too much interference and bass and highs at high levels cut out completely...no good..and you'll spend more for a "good" fm mod than a 35-45 dollar cord.
