Electric Fans Not Working

Electric Fans Not Working
okay, I’ve been reading what I can find online. so far I’ve checked my fuses the relays under the hood, even bought a new relay to test just to be 100% sure. I’ve tested the fan switch in the radiator and bridged it every way possible with paper clips in hopes it would be that simple. But still I get nothing.
Its freezing cold outside and I have a chance to pull it in a garage tomorrow, I plan to check the resistor plate to make sure my grounds are clean. Is there anything else I should check while I have the chance to be warm while I work on it? I’m by no means mechanically inclined so please excuse my stupidity.
Is there a easy easy way to check if the fans themselves are bad?
with 254k miles on her I don’t want my next warm day traffic jam to be the end of her..

Michael..don't know exactly what model you have but if you have dual radiator fans it is doubtful both would fail at the same time. That said there should be a red/black hot wire to the fan(s) and a brown ground. If you bridge the radiator fan switch..you should have some voltage at the fans..depending on which speed you bridge at the switch.
There should be a resistor board under the left front that the radiator wires connect to. You can check for 12v there too with the radiator fan switch bridged.
Be sure the brown grounds on the fans..they should be connected to the chassis above the resistor board with a 10mm head bolt..are clean and tight.
There is a big 60amp radiator fan fuse on the B4 cars..up under the driver's side kick panel. AIRC the fan relays are up there too..the book can be wrong on the fan relay locations

Sorry it’s a 1995 90 FWD.
Thank you for the reply I was only aware of the fuses under the hood. I think I’m going to run out and check that now. I never got the chance to pull it into a garage to check my grounds.
