engine not stable first 30 seconds.....(20v)

I notice recently that when I start my engine ( hot or cold outside; -20c to -5c) the engine goes from 600 to 1.2k RPM for about 20-30 seconds, it's not going up and down but stays for 2 seconds at 600 and than for another 2-3 seconds goes to 1.2k and after 1/2 minute stays at 850-900RPM and is very stable...... It feels the same way as when my engine used to idle on 4 cylinders ( a long long time ago, when I was missing theets on my flywheel and the computer was receiving bad info about engine RPM)

Any thoughts on what can cause this... not that it bothers me alot but I'm just curious.

ISV?

Check 20v.org for cleaning procedure.

I'm getting the same thing with my CQ 20V. I cleaned the ISV a couple of weeks ago, and this

annoyance started. I also started to get a kickback when i take my foot off the accelator too fast. Hope this helps! By the way I cleaned the ISV with combustion chamber cleaner, probably not the right stuff for the job?!
