<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/45998/whathose.jpg"></center><p>Popped open the hood the other day and noticed the below hose went flat.. Looks like it runs coolant from driver-side rear to passenger-side rear - but why is it flat. On the visible engine side it looks like a thermostat housing, but isn't that behind he upper radiator portion of the system, near the engine? Any BTDT?

replacement is metal, it sucks up crank fumes and burns it (DOT requirement)

2 clamps, takes maybe 15-20 minutes depends on rust
