i have a 01a in my quattro but it keeps popping out of gear i am guessing just linkage issue but i am about to do a clutch on the car so i am going to take the trans in to get looked at to make sure there is no serious internal problems with it but i found a '94 90q in a junkyard which has the 2.8L motor and i was wondering if it had the 01a in it and if i could just swap it with mine if mine is found to be bad... please help me out here i am short on time to figure this all out

thank you so very much.... the cool thing is they only want $75.00 for the used 01a out of the junk yard close to my house! worst case scenario it will be on here in the classifieds for sale if it does not fit!!! again thank you

by the way third gear is missing in my quattro.. :-( guess thats what i get for buyin a $100.00 90q some things never come good and cheap you always get one or the other never both!

Not true my friend it's rare but one can get good and cheap( $88 for my 88-90 all it needed was a new oil drain plug)

I was planning to be in Friday at 4pm UK time which is about when the SPartans are usually active - so I could sort out issues like this. Will that work for you or do I need to sort out some land for you sooner?
