Here are some actual pics of my car, XM radio, sub and head unit.
First, I haven't washed my car in about 3 weeks, so it may look a little dirty...
I just had it repainted in Seattle when I was there... Did most of the work myself.. The color is a custom silver-blue.. The blue is a icy (not ricey) baby blue which are actually mica chips we added to the paint for the basecoat. It changes to blue at different angles. I didn't want to do the severe change effect cause then I might as well put a.. never mind.. haha.. but it'd look ghetto...
What do you guys think of the color??

Here's a shot of the Rear deck, where I've got a 800 watt eclipse 5 channel amp, eclipse crossovers, the XM modulator, and a 10inch eclipse sub. The box was custom built by me, and I also spent about 12 hours installing everything.

This is the XM radio antenae I decided to go with.. Looks more "euro" than any of the other antennae's available.

Thats a shot of my deck with XM radio playing... A4 shift **** and a whole mess of other junk in the back ground.

Re: Nice install! Are your turn signals orange, or clear?
The turn sigs are the standard 5w bulb that fits oem style in the slot. I wired a 8ohm 20watt resistor but didn't sauter it, just wrapped it around each corresponding wire.. Some say the turn sig gets lost in the light of the headlight, but this is only the case if you are under the cut off of the RS2 light.. Otherwise you can see it perfect. I think I have all the info on wiring on my site under "performance page" if you need it for reference.. I'm sure you know my site..
haha..

ICE equipment and trunk of the old RS80...
...well, the fact that I decided to go stock for ICE on the new RS80 does not mean that I didn't go all wild and crazy before :-)
In the following you see two pictures of the old RS80's trunk with totally invisible mounted ICE hardware. Please take note that this is a type 89, you know what that vehicle's trunk normally looks like. Also attached is a picture of the old interior with the Phonocar speaker pockets and head unit visible. And the first one to spot a loose wire anywhere wins a free test drive in the new RS80 :-)
Ah, the equipment list, from what I still remember, looks like this:
- Becker Traffic PRO head unit (5ch Radio/CD/GPS)
- Dash/Front doors: Emphaser 10cm 2-way front speakers and 16cm kick bass drivers (mounted in phonocar speaker pockets), hooked up thru 3-way crossovers to a 2x36W RMS Precision Power amp mounted under the dash
- Rear doors: Emphaser tweeters and 13cm kick bass drivers hooked up thru 2way-crossovers to another 2x36W RMS precision power amp in the trunk
- Rear deck: 2x20cm Kicker free-air subwoofers mounted in a specially made B4 look rear deck (made from 2mm V2A steel covered with carpet and secured with 12 6mm bolts), driven by a x-pulse 500W RMS digital mono amp @ 2 Ohms due to parallel connection
- Extensive damping all around the car, alone representing a value of more than 500 DM (approx. 250 EURO)
That all is considered rather a lame or entry-level setup, over here.

Re: ICE equipment and trunk of the old RS80...
Ask Alex at Europrice, he can sell you such a bar. Regarding possible modding: If you can read German, you should check out my Website. Since end-1996 it has been _the_ source for Audi 80 tweaking :-) Especially recommended is the RS80 project diary, as I do as much as possible to my project car, and everything I do is described in both words and pictures there.
