Default Hey I saw a post with somebody that had the CAC exhaust for CQ

does anyone have an opinion on it? it looks pretty nice i suppose, I just want to know what people in here prefer for the Coupe Quatt! I was thinking scorpion maybe, how do they compare to stebro, I liked the sound of stebro in my 93 90Q but it on the 20v CQ in blakes car is was a bit loud for my taste, sounded good just dont want to wake up the neighbors ( all the time=) ) so give me some opinions.

thanks<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;rd=1&amp;item=790699762 2&amp;category=33630">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;rd=1&amp;item=790699762 2&amp;category=33630</a</li></ul>

Default Scorpions are supposedly louder than the Stebro...

I haven't heard one of Paul's exhausts, but I am confident that the quality will be higher than anyone elses. He's pretty particular about products [and some of his work/ideas were picked up by "Audi" of China, namely projector headlamps for the Type44 chassis, since it is STILL being produced for China by Hyongqui (I have no clue how to spell it, it's Chinese, and its a 5k/100/200, thats all that matters, if you want to see one, ask TabulaRasa, he's got pics)].

Default Re: Hey I saw a post with somebody that had the CAC exhaust for CQ

I ordered the CAC rear section about 2 weeks ago (3-4wks for delivery to N.A) and I will be running mine with a stock Mid muffler just like 'Audicted'. I will make a sound clip after installation.
People with Cq on this forum are torn between Brullen and Stebro, Brullen supposetly is LOUDER and deeper. I personally will just choose between the cheaper of the two. 'Absolutecq' runs a Scorpoin catback unit, but mentioned 2 weeks ago he wants to run a stock mid muffler to try to quite it down. The 7A Inline5 seems to growl a lot louder than the V6. The 2.5 custom rear muffler I am running with my stock mid muffler right not is quit loud, so I do not want to imagine how loud it will be without the stock suitcase(Brullen, Scorpion, Stebro) because I live in a city where loud exhausts are frowned upon by cops, so I do not want something too loud.

Default Well Brullen can make different quiet systems. But....

Isn't the quiet system listed for sale is basically adding a glasspack/resonator that could run the lenght of the mid muffler. Most?? glasspacks eventually blow out after a while and have absolutely no sound deadening qualities. It will simply just start getting louder and louder. Brullen could make a custom exhaust with 2.25" or even 2" diameter which might be quieter, but will cost more $$. I have have only heard a Stebro from the vid that cuatrokoop posted, and i feel that a Brullen's listed quiet version is will still be louder. But I may be wrong.
