I have just the ends. They developed surface rust quickly but functionally they are good (4 years).

Default been on full assembly bilaterally for 2 years

had one end fail most user error though. I put the wrong pitch nut on (got mixed in my tray) and using the impact put it on and fvcked the thread on the end up. So I tried die it out but no luck. Just had to get a new end. Besides that, ok. I agree with the surface rust.

Default Re: How's the quality of Meyle/Moog tie rods?

I had lots of fun a few years back trying to get these rods from a supplier in BC. I forget which brand but my dealer at the time used to get oem eqiv parts. Anyway it took two air frieght orders to realize the problem.

When trying to install the pass. side tie rod it wouldn't come down to the strut attachment point. After the second order we concluded that it was a problem at the factory. Where the crimp is near the inner tie rod, the guy on the press must have been crimping them 180 degrees off. So instead of clearing the bellhousing it would stick up in the air.
I am sure this problem would have been adressed but you never know so make sure you line it up with your old one to make sure the angles are correct.

At the time i was planning a 7000 km road trip and this problem left me two weeks behind. grrrr
I ended up deciding to fight for my money back while keeping the new outer tie rod end and just
used my old inner as the inner bushing was fine.

Cheers
