I fixed it up today with a new section of hose right before the monthly Audi Meet.

Default We'll as luck would have it, I was on my way to an auto wrecker's when the hose popped.

I taped the hose and made it to the wrecker's. They happened to have a 4 cylinder 90 there even though I was going there for something completely different. I grabbed a replacement hose. It was a newer style (no T) so I didn't bother fitting it at the time because I didn't want to deal with draining hot coolant. I made it home and it's all fixed up now. Thanks for the offer though! You are the man. I was lucky in an unlucky sort of way.

Default ever have a hose bust while the hood is open?

CAREFULL Had a friend with a v8 in an RX7 where this happened. Walked behind the car to get his tool box and the coolant shot about 30ft in front of the car. Made us both happy to have our skin.
