Default more problems with my 88

i just did a tune up on my 88-90, new cap and rotor which were burnt, new plugs and it takes 3 tries to get it started now and it still idles rather chunky. I can't think of what could be making it do this now when its always been very good at starting and idling. all of the usual tune up/ replacement parts I have already done so this has to be an odd thing I am missing.
quick list: new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, isv, temp sensor,o2 sensor, thermo, coil, hall sensor, fuel pump, filter. anybody think of something for the inline 4 I can't do post. thanks
