My friend just sent me these pcitures. A $16,000 Ginster Yellow Euro Cabriolet in the US.
Not sure if he took them or not. Pretty wacky, aye? It even has early S2 wheels and 3 spoke wheel ;-)

i'd rock it... not sure why they shortchanged it on the rings though =S

The busted windshield frame is a nice touch, just what you want for $16k....
What about this costs $16k exactly? I think a lot of people on this list could build that from scratch for less. Buy a golf cart and go to town...
