Default 77 was a very good year for those cars.

in 78 they went back to a 1.5 in the Rabbit because the 77's were so quick. That car is light as a feather, no cat (could be run on regular gas when it was still sold), and still made in Germany (79 was the first year in the US.

There is a brake line recall on those cars; make sure it has been done!

Default It looks like

a car that was around here locally, but I know you're nor close to me, so it doesn't make sense.

Was it for sale on the Vortex maybe?
