Default NEED ADVICE - buying a '93 90CS

Hi, I need advice on buying a '93 audi 90 CS w/142K miles, automatic.
It seems in pretty good shape, external and internal (I drove it last night). Drives and shifts smoothly.
I noticed that 2 of the 4 bolts fm the plastic engine cover are loose, and there's some minor leakage of an A/C pipe (the seller told me he had changed it to a non-freon system-?).
It has been maintained at the local audi dealer.
What should I look for? Anything I should know about this model w/this mileage? Thoughts on price?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thx.

Default Anyone buying a audi V6 should just automatically do the timing belt and tensioners right away unles

They have proof that its been done in the last 20000. Trust me, a gamble you don't want to take.

Includes:
waterpump must!
timing belt must!
timing idler must!
timing tensioner must!
serpentine belt update (important)
serpentine belt
thermostat

Then you will have a solid audi.
If anyones interested, I'm going to be putting a list of new parts together for 93-95 audis like these parts listed for what I can sell them for to you guys. Also stuff like O2 sensors, ign. wires, spark plugs, and common stuff.

Default Theres a 96 Cab in Mass with 43k on it for $5900.

Its got some minor body work it needs done. I'd scope it right away if I didn't just buy my 93 90. Also the distance is a little problem. I love the cabs though. If anyone needs more info just post below. I think that theres a 91 coupe for $2700 that needs a new 1/4 too. 91k

I'm always checking out audi's for sale. The cab sounds like a bet.

1. Watch for oil leaks - if the engine leaks, it is hard to find where it is coming from - valley pan gasket, head gasket, rear main seal (all common leakage areas for the 2.8 v6)

2. Oxygen sensors may need to be replaced ($200 plus for OEM).

3. When driving the car, listen for any peculiar sounds - open the windows.

4. CV boot commonly goes.

5. I would not worry about the loose plastic bolt covers. These are a pain in the ***. Some people drive with the plastic cover off.

6. A/C evaporator commonly goes - many labour hours to replace.

Try to find as many things as you can and beat the price down. These are good cars, but require lots of care.

My Audi has 126,000 Kms on it and I need to fix the A/C and replace O2 sensors.

Good luck!
