need some help with leaking fluid woes....!!!

i went out to my car yesterday after school and found that it had leaked a small amount of anti-freeze. so i checked the fluid level and it seemed a bit low(of course) however i have been able to make several small trips(<10miles) without it overheating, or even coming close to overheating. I filled it back up when i got home yesterday, and the car still had no problem keeping it cool. Tonight i will be able to use the lift at my work to locate the source of the leak, im really hoping that it isnt anything too serious. i checked the price for all new radiator hoses and it came out to about $200!
If its something simple like a hose, could i replace it with a Stainless steel line and be done with it?
seems to be coming from around the Aux. radiator. I have heard that some 20V owners have taken the Aux. radiator out altogether and plugged up the hoses without a large difference in operating temp.
Can anyone give me advice about eliminating the Aux. radiator?

You got the basics.

If you decide to eliminate the aux rad, the key is to plug the hoses, not run them together in a loop.

If you loop them, the coolant passes though without being cooled fully and the car will overheat. If you plug them, coolant is forced through the main rad.

I hope your not going to the dealer for those hoses!!!! They'll charge you $135 for that hose at the aux. radiator. Go online to either Blau or www.thepartsbin.com for hoses. I've gotten my hoses at both places years ago and they are fine.
