Default Please help, my roof won't work :o(

I've got an Audi 80 Cabriolet 1992. It has a manual hood and has a button on the inside of the door that opens the cover that stores the roof (sorry hope you guys can understand that, not very technical eh!).

Anyway, the button has ceased to work and I have to open the hatch with an allen key, not very classy I must say. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this button. I've looked everywhere. Have searched the manuals (there doesn't seem to be one for the cabriolet, is this true ?). Any help is very much appreciated, even though it's constantly raining here at the mo and I doubt I'll get my roof down now till next year !

Thanks in advance )

Did it all of a sudden stop working? Cause if it is the usual Audi switch it may have gone bad. A switch replacement is very easy.

I should have a wiring diagram for the manual hood as well as the electric hood...

I probably won't get a chance to look before the weekend, but i'll post what i find!!

Yeah it did suddenly stop. I took it to my local Audi garage and they said it was something to do with a lube of wires ???? and would be £100 per hour labour and then another £180 for the part. Yeah right, they saw me coming didn't they - young girl, nice motor, doesn't know a thing about mechanics, I don't think so ! So any help really appreciated.

Hey Emma,

Did you ever work out what the problem was? I know this was a long time ago but seems like a recurring problem!!
Thanks
