Default quick question...maybe 9cab4 can answer this cause he just dealt with it

my friend has painted wheels similar to the color i have. He went to get an alighment done and they put the computerized alignment system on each wheel like most cars. On the rear right they scratched about 1/2 on the lip of the rim. What should he do and how should he approach this. The rims are aftermarket wheels but not too expensive..what would u do if this was you.

thanks as always

Default shoot everyone.

Actually I would bring it up to the manager and see what he was willing to do for your friend. Usually just making them aware of a problem will make them want to do what they can to fix it. But maybe if your friend painted his like you did yours, he could respray that small scratch to save his time having to deal with the shop.

Default yea i told him i would just fix it up for him, but he says that he wants to treat hte shop rite...

becuase the alignment guy got grease inside the car and was rough with the car on turns checking the alignment...basically he was pissed off in the first place and then wehn he saw the scratch, he blew up. is there any money that can be dealt or whatelse would they do.

He is going to need to talk to the manager about all those problems then. See what he will do first.

Default I'm in sales, so I deal with customer relations on a daily basis...

If your friend had work done on his car and the result was in this case maybe a honest mistake, but mistake what so ever, the shop needs to rectify whatever it takes to satisfy your friend within reason. Anytime I have an issue whether it is my fault or my company's fault I satisfy my customer. WHATEVER IT TAKES.......Tell your friend to stick to his guns!
