Remote locks
Anyone have a diagram for the remote locking system for a 93 90?
I replaced the batteries in the remote and tested it with an IR receiver, it tests out fine. Tried both reprogramming procedures, including the one that involves starting the car and doing the programming with the switch on. The horn doesn't beep, like it's not getting the signal.
Fuse is OK.
Anything else to check?
Thanks!

I had a problem in a 97 A6 that was similar. After trying every procedure I could find and having no success I finally tracked down the problem to a bad Ignition Switch.
Well, it was more a problem with the lock assy than the switch. There is a small "pin" that pushes down the center contact on the switch when a key is inserted. My car was missing this little pin and my remote not working was just one of the symptoms. The other thing that wasn't working properly was the interior lighting.
Might be a long shot, but if nothing else works it is a place to start.
