Default RS80 update!

The RS80 is now finally done (except for the seats)! A few days ago we successfully drove the first 300 km and it was GREAT!

You'll find links to some new pictures, including the V4A 70mm exhaust and suspension details from underneath, in the message linked below.

Lookee here!

It's a B3; look at the tail lights. Nice cast rear control arms.

How did you get the forged arms to work on the rear.

Default ok, I understand that....................

But the forged arm uses a 3 bolt ball joint and the stamped arm uses a 2 bolt. Doesn't the 3 bolt ball have an offset in it? How did you compensate for that?

Default using left ball joint on the right side and opposite....

It works well on B3 cars because of the way their wheels sit in the wheel well as is. I was thinking of playing with it on my Coupe but never got around. Some say it would push the wheel too far back.

It does push the wheel back, and that's what we wanted, as we have B4 wheelarches on the RS80.
Additionally, we used the right wishbone on the left side and vice versa.

Default Did you make up the pedal set or are those a purchased item?

The whole thing is looking good.
