Scrap or Save my car?

Scrap or Save my car?
It's now time for me to decide whether to spend 2000 USD installing a new engine in my '93 90CS or just scrap it out to a junk yard. I'm leaning toward just cutting my losses and scrapping the car. The exhaust manifold has a leak that was probably severely worsened by my mom driving my car while it was smoking. (Mom's aren't so smart sometimes, mine included...) I just had my cat's replaced, but the above mentioned might greatly shorten their lifespan as well. I have an auto transmission that is starting to show signs of failure (lurches when shifting into 4th, makes a nice scraping noise followed by a head-lurching clunk) and on top of all that, I still have to buy new brake pads and new tires (my car still has snow tires on it, they were supposed to come off APR 1st....)
So what do you guys think? Scrap it or keep it? The long block (thanks to cuatrokoop for the term clarification) I'm getting already has 77,000 MI on it and was involved in a left-front collision. No flood damage according to the junk yard, and the yard will give me a 100 day warrantee, which is better than a 10Ft/10Second one I suppose. Bottom line: Is the car worth/worthy of the new engine?
Thanks a lot,

If you do want to sell it?
Should you decide to scrap it, how uch would you want? Also where are you located? I am looking for a scrap car myself.
