Re: it's in the middle-front of the block. conveniently hidden behind the timing belt.
Do you happen to have a page from a manual showing the exploded view, that can be e-mailed to me..

YGM... best I can do, it's not the greatest diagram. You should really search this forum, you'll
definitely find something. In fact, pretty much for every question you can think of you should start by thoroughly searching our archives. Usually right off the bat we instruct every noob to make a good attempt before asking questions...mostly because whatever you'll come across is a generic problem that has been "solved" many many many times over.

REMOVAL
Remove ribbed drive belt.
Loosen toothed timing belt as required (it is not necessary to remove toothed timing belt).

Unbolt thermostat housing and pull out from below toothed belt.

Installation position of thermostat.
The vent valve must be installed facing up (arrow).
INSTALLATION
Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following:
Adjust tension of toothed timing belt.
Remove ribbed drive belt.
Loosen toothed timing belt as required (it is not necessary to remove toothed timing belt).
