tranny fluid in gas
my father and brother put a quart of transmission fluid in their gas tanks every so often. they say it cleans out the injectors etc. they have dodge turbo diesel trucks.
is this retarded? should i try and see if it would clean out the inside of my audi?
sounds kinda strange to me, but they said it makes a big difference.

Re: psshhhhh
Or spend around $20 on a can of Bg44k that is known by many to do wonders for dirty injectors/valves/etc. This way you won't have to worry about it messing anything up.

Use BG44K tranny fluid is for the tranny :)
Tranny fluid has a lot of detergent in it and may help a diesel it would not help a gasoline engine. BG44K is pricey at $20 but it is some of the best fuel injector cleaner around.

Diesels are not gas engines
A diesel will burn just about anything. By experience or osmosis, I hope you know a gasoline engine will not.
If you really suspect you have dirty injectors, go with a good quality premium gasoline for a few tanks. And for that matter, it's not a bad idea to use it all the time either.
