I actually don't like Kodak digicams, I'm sure they are better than they used to be, but I hated the ones I've used in the past :-/

Go with the 5000 model. I actually did a lot of research between the 3000 and the kodak one I like. Kodak has a lot more capabilities, battery life is longer, etc. etc. In fact, both the Fuji take 4 AA batteries, but the Kodak has a rechargeable battery with a docking station. (I think was one of the things I liked) I like that 5000 though, I may have to look into that one.

Roommate has the 3000. Battery life isn't too bad actually, he runs rechargable AA's in it, of a higher mAH rating ;-)
