Default Well, day wasn't completely wasted......

I had been riding around with no front stabilizer links since I busted both of them at the Tire Rack rally. I was up for trying some new urethane bushings as my last attempt had failed. It seems that using urethane bushings with the stock links put too much stress on them through the bumps and ruts of the rally - I could see this being the case because the stock links are very, very skinny. So I picked up an Energy Suspension link kit from Zone 15.99. Not too bad. An hour later, after cutting, heating with a torch and bending, fabricating, and more fabricating to get the bushing angles correct (The stock pins are shaped like an "S") They are in, and MAN what a difference! They feel just as good as the stock ones when I switched the rubber bushings over to the urethane. Granted, I had been riding aroudn for a month with no stab links, but still - all the massive body roll is gone and they are much better than the stock rubber ones. Plus, the Energy Suspension pins are nearly double the size of the stock ones - so they should hold up to the stress. Granted, the real test will be testing them at the next rally cross, and if they hold up then we'll be in good! I'll post some pics of the difference between the two when I get a cam back!

Get the theme music, googles, and scarf. Paint an Iron cross on the hood.
