Default Yuck!

I've noticed my car has been leaking quite a lot of oil lately so I took off the underpanel to take a look. Why would oil be all over the passenger side cat? I'm thinking it's just from the oil in the belly pan blowing on to it (?)

I can't find any leaks after degreasing everything, so I guess I'm going to have to dig deeper.... any ideas?

Default My '93 suffered from the same problem until I replaced...

...a lot of the gaskets (valley pan, valve cover, cam shaft seal, intake), and re-torqued the head bolts. Oil was dripping down the back of the engine, then at highway speed was blowing back over the tranny onto the cats.

Default if you hoist the car up or just look under while its running see where it comes from...

it will probably be near the oil pan under passenger. If it is then its a pain to fix. You could try those oil sealers?

Default Could possibly be your flange seals on the tranny...

but in addition to that there is probably a motor oil leak elsewhere.

Default The earlier the 12V was made, the more it leaks...

...best option would be to replace all gaskets (head/valve cover/valley pan/both oil pan/intake/etc...).

Click the link to see what I did, which helped a lot.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/126088.phtml">What I did...</a></li></ul>

Yup, those hoses like to get brittle over time.
