2016 A3 Oil Seepage & Rattling Noise
Hi All
I have a 2016 A3 (S-Line) and I took it in for service because the car has oil seepage on the cam sensor and the car makes a rattling noise when I accelerate.
Audi technician told me that these 2 things are normal with this car.
Does anyone else have these same issues?

The cam sensor's gakset is probably bad, which causes the oil seepage. If you don't address it, the oil will find its way down to the water pump and ruin that.
Rattling could be caused by timing chain stretch. If it breaks, your engine's done. It can be checked.
If your is still under warranty, go to another dealer to get a second opinion. Some dealers do not want to do any warranty work because they get paid very little by VW/Audi for it. Once the warranty's out, they will be happy to find all sorts of expensive repairs you need.
