went in for 35000 service and they tried to sell me in an additional fuel injection service and a power steering service for a total of about $600....I said no, but was wondering, is this recommended/necessary? is they any benefit?

Throw Techron, Redline, or BG44K in the tank for injector cleaning (in rising strength).

I'm just over 20k now and had my 30k service due to calendar time. Dealer made no mention of injestor or steering sys. service. I use top grade Shell or Sunoco and always use Rizlone fuel additive every 6 months or so. Had over 20 Audi's since the 70s and have never needed injector service. I currently have a A4 B5 with 205K miles, A5 B8 Cab. with 60k miles along with my 2020 S6. Dealers will push and use the scare factor, especially if a female brings the vehicle in for service.
