I have seen an A3 1.8T, fully loaded except parking sensors! But it has done 90K miles in 3 years, it is priced attractively with full Audi SH.

Should I be tempted given the high miles?

Is there anything obvious to listen for from the engine to suspect it has had a hard life rather than driven at 75/80mph up/down motorways?

Has it gone past a recent expensive service interval and/or approaching another one I should be wary of?

what price is is ? i just paid 8000 for one with 26k on that was on an R 98 plate, would have to be cheap for that millage

Advertised as £10K, but should come down to below £9500

thats pricy there are loads in the auto trader that are 7-9k with 50 - 60 miles on would you not prefer a slightly older car but with fewer miles ? i just got a 1.8t sport loads of toys in it with 27k miles and payed 8100 , its a 98 R reg in blue, maust admit i think it is amazing car for the money !

The W/X plates had a little 'facelift' so those are preferred, but Yes I am prefering to buy a W/X plate with approx 50K miles.

ah i see im not sure there is a big service at 80k miles so long as its been done and the cambelt etc has been done there should not be a problem ,

I've just seen one S reg 47,000 on the clock, leather heated seats, armrests, for £10,500.

Does either of the A3 1.8SE or 1.8T have variable valve timing, I read something the other day that suggested some of the models do.

Which ones?
