Default A3 Clutch Pedal Problem

Has anyone experienced a squeaking noise when depressing the cluch pedal to it lowest point? I have had this happen a few times over the last few days and am not sure if it a symptom to a more serious problem.

Thanks in a advance.

Hi John,

I experienced a "clicking" sound recently, just before my cars last service. I got them to look at it, and it came back fixed. I'm not sure what the problem was or what they did to fix it. Sorry.

No but scarier thing recently happened to me. I had to break hard and I also pressed the clutch pedal hard (reaction thing) and the pedal got stuck in the plastic bit behind. I could not continue to drive like that and had to park on the side of the road to unstuck it using screwdriver (!!) and considerable force. This stuff is dangerous and I will complain to the dealer soon.

my clutch pedal is very creaky/squeaky sometimes - seems to be more prevelant after a bit of driving.

I was in the traffic on the way to work about 6 months ago, and when I put my foot on the clutch as the pedal went down I felt a big clunk under my foot and the pedal didnt come back up There is a plastic clip that connects the pedal arm to the rod that comes in from the engine bay that gave way.

my clutch pedal also shudders as I let it out at low revs (<1500) with light or no throttle on (like when crawling in stop start traffic) The dealer keeps saying its normal (not sure why I believe them) but next service in a few weeks I think I'll make them fix it - its really annoying.

Default This sounds familiar

Had same in my A3 TDI and now on S3.

Squeak happens on release of pedal especially after reaching high revs.

Cured it in my old TDI by spraying WD40 in nether regions behind clutch pedal.

Worked, sort of.
