Am I crazy or did my DSG A3 before going into the dealer NOT show the gear the car was in when in D?

Am I crazy or did my DSG A3 before going into the dealer NOT show the gear the car was in when in D?
I just noticed on the way home that the gear the car is in was being shown next to the P RNDS display. Like it was now P RNDS 1 or P RNDS 2 and so on. Was this always the case or am I just a moron. Well, it could be both, I'msure but is this a new feature?
