Brand New 2017 Audi S3 Leaking Gearbox Oil
Hi Everyone
I recently (2 days ago) purchased my new Audi S3 2017 Sportback. It only has 115kms on the clock and just found a deluge of oil on my garage floor. I called the dealer to let them know and told them to replace the car as its brand new!! Audi Assist dispatched a flat bed to collect the vehicle and transported it to another Audi closer to home. When I tried to put the vehicle in reverse I received a warning message that there is a gearbox malfunction.
Question really is should I be concerned? Will they try to "plug" the problem and give me the same vehicle? I know my rights and can demand them to exchange the vehicle or could I accept the same one once repaired?
Thanks and Regarsa

WOW! TERRIBLE! Please update the forum and let us know how Audi took care of you. I hope they give you the option for getting a new Audi vs getting yours returned "fixed", unless that is what you want. Me personally I would have NO trust in the quality of that car it being brand new and having a serious problem. If you decide to keep it tell them to add FREE an AUDI extended warranty, the Plantium one which is the highest covering you up to 100k mi with the best coverage with an additional 6 years AFTER your manufacter bumper to bumper expires. So that's a total of 10 or 11 yrs of coverage. Have them add Audi Care too! Make sure it's FREE. Make sure the extended warranty is NOT 3rd party. Audi just recently started their own warranty. That is the least they can do if they push you to keep it and for them, it's cheaper. Crazy for that to happen to your car...it's new!
